Gujarat accident: Several people were hurt in a bus and an SUV collision.

Amit Shah, the union home minister, conveyed his sympathies to the families of those killed in the Gujarat accidents.

In the early hours of Saturday morning in Gujarat’s Navsari district, a bus and an SUV collided, leaving at least nine people dead and several others injured. According to VN Patel, deputy superintendent of police in Navsari, the collision happened on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai highway,

According to Patel (interviewed by ANI), one person who was critically hurt had been sent to Surat.

About the Gujarat accident

According to a PTI report, Navsari Superintendent of Police (SP) Rushikesh Upadhyay said that the driver of the luxury bus and eight of the nine people riding in the SUV both passed away instantly. According to Upadhyay, the people riding in the SUV were Ankleshwar locals returning home from Valsad, and the people aboard the bus were also Valsad locals.

In these horrible accidents, nine people have died and 25 people were injured.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered an ex-gratia of 2 lahks for each deceased person’s next of kin as a way of expressing his sorrow over the loss.

Money to the deceased family

The Office of the Prime Minister stated,
“A traffic accident in Navsari claimed several lives, which is tragic. My condolences go out to the grieving families. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. The next of kin of each deceased person would receive an ex-gratia payment from PMNRF of Rs. 2 lakh.”
