Additionally, the caretaker government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) also recalled the K-P security personnel assigned to guard the PTI Chairman, as reported by The News International.

This decision to withdraw security was made while Khan is publicly accusing former President and PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari of conspiring to assassinate him by providing financial support to a terrorist group, as reported by The Express Tribune newspaper.

During a press conference from his residence in Lahore, Imran Khan spoke via video link and claimed that there was a conspiracy against him, which he referred to as ‘Plan-C.’ He went on to accuse former President Asif Ali Zardari of providing financial support to a terrorist organization to carry out an assassination attempt against him, as reported by a Pakistan-based newspaper.

It is important to note that following an attack on Khan in Wazirabad, a total of 50 police officers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were assigned to protect his safety. What all security have been revoked?

As stated by a spokesperson for the capital’s police, Bani Gala is the private residence of the former Prime Minister and he has not been staying in Islamabad for several months. As a result, police from Islamabad and other provinces cannot be deployed at the residence during his absence. Law enforcement agencies arrested a suspect named Naveed Meher at the scene of the attack, who later admitted to firing at the PTI leadership. The incident was reported on November 7 under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.

The investigation into the assassination attempt on Khan was handed over to an anti-corruption officer named Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, according to sources within the JIT. As per The News International report, Dogar was solely tasked with interrogating the suspect by anti-corruption officer Anwar Shah and no other members of the JIT were given access to the attacker.
