Xiaomi 13 Pro: India’s First 1-Inch Camera Smartphone to Launch on February 26

On February 26th, Xiaomi is preparing to unveil its top-of-the-line smartphone (Xiaomi 13 Pro) that features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and an advanced 1-inch camera sensor.
Xiaomi has officially announced that the Xiaomi 13 series, which includes the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro models, will be unveiled on February 26 for global markets. The Indian release of will also take place on the same day, marking the debut of India’s first 1-inch camera smartphone.
Given the brand’s reputation in India, it is probable that only the Xiaomi 13 Pro will be introduced, making it the first Xiaomi smartphone in India to be equipped with Leica technology.
Xiaomi 13 Pro Features & Specifications
Boasting a 6.73-inch curved display with a resolution of 1440p and 120Hz refresh rate, it is also shielded with Corning Gorilla Victus protection. The phone’s screen-to-body ratio is 86.9 percent, with an LTPO panel that provides a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. A 32MP front-facing camera is situated in the center of the punch hole.
Processor & Storage
The smartphone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and offers up to 512GB of internal storage using UFS 4.0, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. The base model has 128GB of storage based on UFS 3.1 and 8GB of RAM, with an alternative variant featuring 256GB storage and 8/12GB of RAM.

Camera
The highlight of the Xiaomi 13 Pro is the enhanced camera system, featuring a triple 50MP configuration. This includes a 50MP 1-inch wide-angle lens (f/1.9, 23mm), a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.2, 14mm), and a 50MP telephoto lens (f/2.0, 75mm) with 3.2x optical zoom.
Battery
The phone boasts a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 120W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. It supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, NaVIC, and GLONASS for connectivity.
Pricing
The pricing of phone is likely to be the company’s most expensive smartphone in India, with an anticipated price point around Rs 65,000, comparable to recent launches such as the iQOO 11 and OnePlus 11. It is expected to come with MIUI 14 based on Android 13 OS.
